DESIGN IS LIFE. 

Since 1993, our creative missions have varied widely. You name it, we’ve done it. No joke. Zawdie’s work has seen clients like National Commercial Bank (designing the ABM interface for the biggest bank in Jamaica), Usain Bolt (crappy experience. No love lost there. Feeling is probably mutual), entertainment (doing business with almost every reggae dancehall artist who was big in the 2000s), communications (biggest mobile companies in the Caribbean), food & beverage, women’s rights, children’s rights and even tourism. In one of the most unexpected commissions, ZBV designed the visual interface elements of a bank’s state-of-the-art ABM’s interactive graphic user interface. National Commercial Bank – one of Jamaica’s leading commercial banks – called it Bank-on-the-go. For ZBV, it was no problemo.

As of June 2019, ZBV no longer responds to Corporate RFPs, nor do we bid for or solicit design consultancy work. Instead, creative resources are primarily focused on ZBV-controlled ‘in-house’ businesses and projects. External projects are accepted on a case-by-case basis when they align well with our other areas of interest. This is all a part of the fry chicken philosophy. Work smarter. Not harder.

BROAD EXPERIENCE & CAPABILITIES

The journey has included exciting manifestations of design, creativity, and entrepreneurship, including projects in architectural design, 3D animation, product labeling and packaging, container design (3D prototyping), set design, film and video production, TV soundtracks, audio post-production, audio design, web design, print design for billboards, newspaper ads, posters, t-shirts, and many projects we might hardly even remember.

Through twenty-five years of work, experience has taught us that the best kinds of design and creativity are simply about understanding people – end users, customers, clients, and you – through a deliberate and extremely rich knowledge-sharing process.
